The effect of printing and dyeing grade sodium alginate paste on rotary screen printing
Sodium alginate paste can be applied to rotary screen printing, making the printing process more colorful, rich in color, full in layers, and lively in patterns. Especially when printing large surface patterns, it can achieve excellent printing results. Due to the high requirements for the dilution resistance, temperature resistance, and non layering properties of the original paste in rotary screen printing, controlling the rheological and permeability of the printing paste is one of the important factors determining the quality of rotary screen printing. It determines the printing operation performance, surface color supply of dyes, and smoothness of the pattern and contour. Today, we will take you to learn about the application of sodium alginate paste in circular screen printing.
  1. Excellent rheological properties: Sodium alginate paste can ensure excellent rheological properties when used for rotary screen printing. As rotary screen printing requires the color paste to be easily scraped out from the mesh, while maintaining a smooth contour and uniform surface, the original paste is usually required to have excellent rheological properties and good thixotropy. Secondly, the clarity of the pattern contour is not only related to the rheological properties of the original paste, but also often to the migration performance of the original paste itself.
  2. Good penetration ability: The penetration ability of the original paste is an important criterion for selecting the original paste for rotary screen printing. Because during printing, the color paste is stacked on the surface of the fabric through the mesh, unlike roller printing, which uses the compression of the flower tube printing cylinder or the back and forth scraping and pressing of the flat screen printing to allow the color paste to enter the gaps of the fabric. Therefore, choosing a sodium alginate paste with strong permeability is easier to achieve a uniform surface effect and a more full-bodied color.
  3. Water holding capacity: When printing hydrophobic synthetic fibers in rotary screen printing, some original pastes with poor water holding capacity will experience severe infiltration.
  4. The spinnability of the original paste: The excellent spinnability of the original paste has a strong adhesion to the fabric, which is more important in circular screen printing of synthetic fiber fabrics. If the adhesion of the conjunctiva in the original paste is not good, it often leads to peeling, mutual staining, and contamination. Therefore, this is also one of the important reasons for choosing sodium alginate original paste in rotary screen printing.
